Preface

This document describes how to configure and use Node Manager to control and manage server instances within an Oracle WebLogic Server environment.

Audience

This document is a resource for system administrators and operators responsible for using Node Manager. It is relevant to all phases of a software project, from development through test and production phases.

It is assumed that the reader is familiar with Jakarta Platform, Enterprise Edition and web technologies, object-oriented programming techniques, and the Java programming language.

Convention Meaning

boldface

Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.

italic

Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.

monospace

Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
