Specify Limit Values By for the Workbook Filter Bar

Configure the Limit Values By setting for the workbook filter bar to apply to each filter and selection step that you add to it.

Before you add different filters and selection steps to your workbook, it's important to understand the limit values settings and how they affect each other, see How Filters Limit Each Other.
To use an individual filter or selection step's Limit Values setting to override the filter bar's Limit Values By setting, see Specify Limit Values for Workbook and Canvas Filters and Selection Steps.
  1. On the Home page, hover over a workbook, click Actions, then select Open.
  2. Click Filter Bar Menu, then hover over Limit Values By Filter Bar Menu icon .
  3. Click an option to select it.
  4. Click Save.
