Create a versioned case series

Create a versioned case series from the Case Series page.

You must have the Manage Signal Configuration permission, as well as Create Case Series permission to create a versioned case series.

  1. In the left navigation pane, hover on the Data Analysis icon (Data Analysis icon), then select Case Series.
  2. On the Case Series page, select the Create Versioned Case Series link to create a new versioned case series.
  3. On the Create Versioned Case Series page, identify the source of the data by selecting a configuration or an alias from the Configuration drop-down.

The selected data configuration must have appropriate variables types set for use with versioned case series.

  4. In the Name field, enter a name for the case series. The name does not need to be unique, although Oracle recommends that you use a unique name.
  5. In the Description field, enter an informative description of the case series.
  6. Choose one of the following:
    • To assign the case series to an existing project, select Add to existing project and select the project from the drop-down list. Only projects associated with objects that you created or that are published to you appear in the list.
    • To create a new project and assign the case series to it, select Add to a new project named and enter a project name.
  7. Select Save.
An empty versioned case series is added to the Case Series page and Oracle Empirica identifies the case series as versioned by adding the Yes value to the Versioned column. The # of Entries column displays 0 because no annotations have been added. The only way to add annotations (that are associated with cases) to the new versioned case series is to go to the Signal Review page and add annotations to those cases.
