Diversity & Inclusion dashboard in Oracle Clinical One Analytics

The Diversity & Inclusion dashboard is now available in Oracle Clinical One Analytics allowing you to visualize the diversity on the subject population of a clinical study. This dashboard can provide an insight of the trial objectivity to test the safety and efficacy of a drug formulation.

Tip:

Whether you are working in a live study (and already using Oracle Clinical One Analytics), working in a brand new study, or just starting to work with analytics, reach out to your Oracle point of contact for more information on Oracle Clinical One Analytics training and mentoring.

With the introduction of the new Diversity & Inclusion dashboard template in Oracle Clinical One Analytics, you can get a holistic view of your study's data. By leveraging the existing functionality of datasets, you now have access to a customizable and interactive dashboard. This contains reports and visualizations that can help improve your decision-making on subject screening and randomization, to increase diversity within the group of study participants. With a more diverse group of participants, you are more likely to objectively test the safety and accuracy of the drug formulation for everyone.

Since they are templates, you do not have to create dashboards from scratch, but you can customize them to meet your needs. All you have to do is download the template and re-import it to tweak the data in and adjust filters, making sure that you are viewing data relevant to your work. For more information see Customize templates.

Before you work with this new feature

Each predefined dashboard is built by leveraging an existing dataset in Oracle Clinical One Analytics. Because of this, you must have access to the respective dataset before you can properly view data in a corresponding dashboard. To work with the Diversity & Inclusion dashboard, you must have access to the Subject Items Dataset.

Access to a dataset is given based on the permission that you must be assigned in Oracle Clinical One Platform. To access the Subject Form Items dataset, and so this new dashboard, make sure you are assigned with the Run the Subject Form Items Dataset permission. For more information on these permissions, see About your access to Clinical One Analytics.

Details for data managers

With the new Diversity & Inclusion dashboard, data managers can monitor subjects' diversity by age, gender and demographics across studies and sites. Even though this dashboard is intended to assist data managers with their duties, the Diversity & Inclusion dashboard is available to any user with the appropriate permissions. This customizable dashboard offers you complex data on the clinical study population diversity, organized within the following interactive reports:
  • Diversity & Inclusion Overview
  • Diversity By Sites
  • Diversity by Age Group
  • Patient Demographics

The reports and visualizations grouped in this dashboard can help data managers to analyze the study population and subject distribution across sites and studies. With this, the study team can identify a possible need of randomization design and limits update, as well as screening requirement adjustments.

You can find additional information regarding dashboards in the Analytics User Guide after the Release Assessment Environment (RAE) upgrade.
