Configuring Item Rate Rules

Prerequisites for Configuring Item Rate Rules

Item Rate Rules describe how individual items are priced (for example, per hour, per day, or each) for non-food and non-beverage resources such as flip charts, projectors, and so on. Item Rate Rules are shared by all properties in multi-property operations.

Adding Item Rate Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Item Rate Rules.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Code: Enter a code for the Item Rate.

    2. Description: Enter a description for the item rate.

      1. Manage Translation: Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi Language OPERA Control is active).

    3. Sequence: Enter a display sequence to indicate sequence in list.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Item Rate Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Item Rate Rules.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the item rate rule in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the details.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Item Rate Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Item Rate Rules.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the item rate rule in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
