The overbooking protection relates to Sellable Availability. When set, the sum of all available rooms cannot exceed the total number of rooms on the property, and the total per room type is calculated and rounded accordingly.

Adding Overbooking Protection

1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management, and then select Overbooking Protection.

2. Click Create Overbooking Protection and enter the following details in the Attribute type slide out panel:

   1. Code: Displays RT by default, field is read-only.

   2. Description: Displays Room Types by default, field is read-only.

   3. Overbooking Protection: Enable switch to use the overbooking protection in your Sellable Availability on Inventory. Each time you change this setting a recalculation of your inventory is required.

   4. Click Create and confirm the recalculation of inventory.

      Note:

      If you cancel the recalculation, the overbooking protection is reverted to previous setting and you can close the screen.

Viewing Overbooking Protection

1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management, and then select Overbooking Protection.

2. By default, you can view the record with all details.

Editing Overbooking Protection

1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Accommodation Management, and then select Overbooking Protection.

2. Select the record and then click Edit.

3. Change the Overbooking Protection setting.

4. Click Update and confirm the recalculation of inventory.

   Note:

   If you cancel the recalculation, the overbooking protection is reverted to previous setting and you can close the screen.
