Configuring Distribution Attributes and Channel Rate Mapping

With an Oracle Hospitality OPERA Distribution Channel Cloud Service subscription, you can configure distribution attributes as well as channel rate mapping.

Adding Distribution Attributes and Channel Rate Mapping

From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Code.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
Select the rate code in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.
On the Rate Code Configuration screen, click Channel Distribution link.
Select the Distribution Attributes tab to view and translate the default attributes configured for the rate plan for channel distribution.

Note:
To view the contents of the Distribution Attributes tab, you must have the View Rate Plan Channel Attributes permission from the Role permissions channel management module. To add or edit, you must have the Attributes permission. For more information, see OPERA Cloud Distribution within the Hospitality Hotels documentation.

Editing Distribution Attributions

From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Code.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
Select the rate code in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.
On the Rate Code Configuration screen, click Channel Distribution link.
Click Edit and update the following Distribution Attributes:
1. ID Required: Select this check box if a valid ID is required to avail the rate. By default, it is not selected.
2. Default Rate Plan Name: Enter the Default Rate Plan Name.
3. Default Rate Plan Type: Select the Default Rate Plan Type.
4. Default Rate Plan Category: Select the Default Rate Plan Category.
5. Default Rate Plan Order: Enter the order the rate plan code displays in a list of seamless availability returns.
6. Meal Plan: Select the Meal Plan to be displayed for the channel. If this is selected, a single or multi select field to select Meals Included is available for selecting Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (one or several).
7. Default Rate Plan GDS Description (Line 1): Enter the GDS description line 1 for the rate plan code.
8. Default Rate Plan GDS Description (Line 2): Enter the GDS description line 2 for the rate plan code.
9. Default Rate Plan GDS Description (Line 3): Enter the GDS description line 3 for the rate plan code.
10. Default Rate Plan GDS Description (RPD): Enter the GDS description RPD for the rate plan code.
Click Update to save your edits.

Managing Translation

Withe manage translation you can translate the Default Rate Plan Name, Default Rate Plan GDS Description (Line 1-3), and Default GDS Description (RPD). By default, the tab of the first filled field is selected and only those tabs where a value exists for translation are accessible.

Note:

Managing Translation button is accessible only if at least one of the above-mentioned fields is filled.

From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Code.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
Select the rate code in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.
On the Rate Code Configuration screen, click Channel Distribution link.
To Manage Translation:
1. Click Add to add the language of translation.
2. Language: Select the language to translate the fields into. This field is required.
3. Translation: Enter the translation of the selected fields and language. This field is required.
4. Click Save to save the translation.
5. To edit or delete the translation:
  1. Click icon to delete the translation.
  2. Click icon to edit the translation.
6. Click Update to save your additions or edits on existing records.

Managing Channel Rate Configuration

From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Code.
Enter search criteria and click Search.
Select the rate code in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.
On the Rate Code Configuration screen, click Channel Distribution link.
Select the Channel Rate Configuration tab to view or add Channel Rate Plans.
Click Add Channel Distribution to add new channel rate codes.
