Configuring Properties
Properties are provisioned on activation of the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Foundation or Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Central Management Services subscription.
Update the General Information and Property Controls sections to determine specific settings for OPERA Cloud.
Other properties details are required for property brochure and multi property/central reservations operations.

Editing Properties

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Properties.

Enter search criteria and click Search.

Select the property in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

Click Edit.

Name: Enter the property name.

Legal Owner: Enter the legal owner / company name.

Property Type: Select a property type from the list. For more information, see Configuring Property Types.

Number of Floors: Enter the number of floors.

Total Rooms: Enter the total number of accommodation rooms.

Number of Beds: Enter the number of beds.

Property Information URL: Enter a URL of website with further property details.

Check out Time: Enter the default check out time.

Check in Time: Enter the default check in time.

Latitude: Enter the location of the property (available through Google Maps).

Longitude: Enter the location of the property (available through Google Maps).

Base Language: Enter the primary language of the property. The selected language will default the Language field in new profiles.

Editing Accommodation Details

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Properties.

Enter search criteria and click Search.

Select the property in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

Single Rooms: Enter the number of single / king single bed rooms.

Double Rooms: Enter the number of double bed rooms.

Twin Rooms: Enter the number of twin bed rooms.

Suites: Enter the number of suites.

Guest Room Floors: Enter the number of floors with accommodation.

Guest Elevators: Enter the number of guest elevators.

Non smoking rooms: Enter the number of non-smoking rooms.

Connecting Rooms: Enter the number interconnecting rooms.

Accessible Rooms: Enter the number of accessible rooms.

Family Rooms: Enter the number of family rooms.

Max Adults in Family: Enter the maximum number of adults for a family room.

Max Child in Family: Enter the maximum number of children for a family room.

Executive Floor Number. Enter the starting floor of executive floor.

Room Amenities: Enter details for standard room amenities.

Configuring Airports
Configure the airports nearby and accessible to your property. Airports and associated transport services are displayed in the property brochure to assist reservation agents.
Note:
When the Multi Property OPERA Control is active, new Airport codes are created by selecting the Template tab. Once created, you can copy Airport codes to specific properties using the Copy action. See Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties for more information.Adding Airports

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Airports.

Click New and complete the following:

Code: Enter the Airport code.

Description: Enter the Airport name.
-
Website: Enter Airport website URL.

Driving Directions: Enter driving directions from the airport to the property, or geographical direction of the airport from the property.
-
Driving Time: Enter the time needed to drive between the airport and the property.
-
Distance: Enter the distance of the airport from the hotel property.
-
Distance Type: Select the distance measurement (e.g., miles, kilometers).
-
Sequence: Enter a sequence number that determines the position of this airport in listings.
-
Transportation: Select the transportation carriers/services available at the airport. See Transportation for details.

Click Save.
Editing Airports

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Airports.

Enter search criteria and click Search.
-
Select the airport in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

Update the configuration.

Click Save.
Deleting Airports

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Airports.

Enter search criteria and click Search.
-
Select the airport in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

Click Delete and confirm the deletion.

Configuring Amenities
Configure the various amenities available at your properties. Amenities are classes as either General or Meeting and referenced in Property configuration.
If some amenities are seasonal enter date range accordingly.
Note:
When the Multi Property OPERA Control is active, new Amenities are created by selecting the Template tab. Once created, you can copy Amenities to specific properties using the Copy action. See Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties for more information.Adding Amenities

Click New and complete the following

Code: Enter a code for the amenity .

Description: Enter the name of the amenity.

Type: Select a type from the list: General or Meeting.

End Date: Enter or select an end date.

Sequence: Enter a sequence number that determines the position of this amenity in listings.

Notes: Enter any notes regarding this amenity.

Adding Dining and Retail

Hours: Enter opening hour details.

Sequence: Enter a display sequence.

Repeat to add another Dining or Retail outlet.

Enter search criteria and click Search.

Select the dining and retail in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

Update the configuration.

Configuring Local Attractions
Adding Local Attractions

From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Properties.

Enter search criteria and click Search.

Select the property in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

Click New and enter the following details:

Code: Select an Attraction from the list. See Configuring Attractions.

Description: Description will default based on Code selected; you can update if needed.

Category: Select an Attraction category from the list. See Configuring Attraction Categories.

City: Enter the City (suburb) name.

State: Select a State from the list.
-
Website: Enter the Attraction company website address.

Distance: Enter distance from your property.

Distance Type: Select the distance type (measure) from the list.

Driving Time: Enter the driving time to attraction.

Price Range: Enter the price range of the attraction.
-
Hours: Enter the hours of operation.
-
Sequence: Enter a display sequence.

Latitude: Enter the location of the Attraction (available using Google Maps).

Longitude: Enter the location of the Attraction (available using Google Maps).

Editing Property Controls

Hotel Code: Enter a property code (unique code in multi-property operations).

Begin Date: Enter date the property is scheduled to become active and start accepting reservations.

Remote Property: Select an option representing the active subscription at the remote property integrated through OXI (Available when the Central Sales OPERA Control is active).

Currency Format

Currency: Select the local (property) currency from the list. For more information, see Configuring Foreign Currency Codes. Currency cannot be changed once financial / ledger activity has occurred.

Currency Format: Select the currency format mask from the list.

Decimals: Displays the number of digits after the decimal separator for the currency.

Catering Currency Format (Available when the Ability to Quote Rates in Foreign Currencies OPERA Control is active).

Adding Contacts

Click New and enter the following details:
