Configuring Channel Mapping
Channel mapping establishes connections between OPERA Cloud codes and the codes used by external channels. The mapping helps ensure smooth and accurate processing of information and transactions between OPERA Cloud and external channels.

Channel Mapping Amenities
Adding Channel Mapping Amenities
Use the following steps to add Amenities to channels:

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Amenities.

Click New.
-
On the Amenity Management screen, complete the following fields:

Property. Select the property if logged into a chain location.
-
Channel. Select the channel where the amenity code will be available.
-
Feature Type. Select the feature type such as Room, Property, and so on.
-
Feature. Select the feature that belongs to the amenity code.
-
Amenity Code. Select the Global Distribution System (GDS) amenity code from the list.

Description. As an option, enter a text description of the amenity or feature.

Click Save.
Editing Channel Mapping Amenities

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Amenities.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to edit and select Edit.
-
Make changes to the description.
-
Click Save.
Deleting Channel Mapping Amenities

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Amenities.
-
Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to delete and select Delete.

Channel Mapping Letters
Adding Channel Mapping Letters

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Channel Letters.

Click New.
-
On the Channel Letters screen, complete the following fields:

Property. Select the property if logged into a chain location.
-
Channel. Select the channel in which the letter code will be used.
-
Letter Type. Select a letter type such as Confirmation, Cancellation, and so on.

Letter Name. Select the letter name.
-
Language. Select a language for the channel letter from the list.

Click Save.
Editing Channel Mapping Letters

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Channel Letters.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to edit and select Edit.
-
Make changes to the Letter Name.
-
Click Save.
Deleting Channel Mapping Letters

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Channel Letters.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to delete and select Delete.

Channel Mapping Credit Cards
Adding Channel Mapping Credit Cards

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Credit Cards.

Click New.
-
On the Credit Cards screen, complete the following fields:

Channel. Select the channel in which the credit card will be used.
-
Card Type. Select a card type code used in OPERA Cloud such as VI for Visa, MC for Master Card, or AX for American Express from the list.

Channel Card Type. Enter the code used by the channel. It is recommended to use codes provided by the channel.

Start Date. Enter the date when the card is available to the channel.
-
End Date. Enter a date when the property becomes unavailable in the channel (optional).
-

Click Save.
Editing Channel Mapping Credit Cards
Use the following steps to edit the Credit Card mapping Start Date/End Date:

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Credit Cards.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to edit, and select Edit.
-
Make changes to the Start Dates/End Date.
-
Click Save.
Deleting Channel Mapping Credit Cards
Use the following steps to delete a Channel:

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Credit Cards.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to delete, and select Delete.

Channel Mapping Currencies
Adding Channel Mapping Currencies

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Currencies.

Click New.
-
On the Credit Card Management screen, complete the following fields:

Channel. The channel where the currency code will be used.
-
Currency Code. Select the currency code used in OPERA Cloud.
-
Channel Currency Code. Select the currency code used for the channel. It is recommended that you use ISO standards, such as USD for the US Dollar.

Channel Decimal Position. Enter the number of decimals supported by the channel, which is usually two.
-
External Decimal Position. Enter decimal the position as provided by the channel.
-
Start Date. Enter the date when the currency code is available to the channel.

End Date. Enter a date when the property becomes unavailable in the channel (optional).

Click Save.
Editing Channel Mapping Currencies

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Currencies.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to edit and select Edit.

Make changes to the Channel Decimal Position, External Decimal Position, or Start Date/End Date.

Click Save.

Select search criteria and click Search.

From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to delete and select Delete.

Channel Mapping Properties
Adding Channel Mapping Properties

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Property Management.

Click New.
-
On the Credit Card Management screen, complete the following fields:

Channel. Select the channel where the property code will be used.
-
Property. Select the property code used in OPERA Cloud.
-
Channel Property. Enter the property name.
-
Start Date. Enter the date when the property becomes available to the channel.
-
End Date. Enter a date when the property becomes unavailable in the channel (optional).
-
City. Enter the city location of the property.
-
Room Limit. Enter the property’s room limit per single booking.
-
Prevailing Rates. Select the check box to indicate the prevailing rates to be used by the channel.

Click Save.
Editing Channel Mapping Properties
Use the following steps to edit Properties:

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Property Management.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu of the channel you want to edit and select Edit.
-
Make changes to Channel Property, Start Date/End Date, City, Room Limit, or Prevailing Rates in the Property Management screen.

Click Save.
Deleting Channel Mapping Properties

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Property Management.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu of the channel you want to delete and select Delete.

Channel Mapping Reservation Types
Adding Channel Mapping Reservation Types

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Reservation Types.

Click New.
-
On the Reservation Types screen, complete the following fields:

Channel. Select the channel where the reservation code will be used.
-
Reservation Type. Select the reservation type used in OPERA Cloud.

Channel Reservation Type. Enter the channel reservation type code used by the channel.
-
Requirement Code. Select a requirement codes such as Credit Card, Hold, and so on used in OPERA Cloud.

Start Date. Enter the date when the reservation type becomes available to the channel.

End Date. Enter a date when the reservation type becomes unavailable in the channel (optional).

Click Save.
Editing Mapping Channel Reservation Types
Use the following steps to edit reservation types:

From the Administration menu, select Interfaces, select Channel Mapping, and select Reservation Types.

Select search criteria and click Search.
-
From search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu on the channel you want to edit and select Edit.
-
Make changes to the Channel Reservation Type, Requirement Code, or Start Date/End Date.

Click Save.
Deleting Mapping Channel Reservation Types
Use the following steps to delete a Channel:

Select search criteria and click Search.
