Enabling the Unused Credit Card Authorization Release Alert

You can warn workstation operators when unused authorizations are about to be released while finalizing a check with a non-card tender (for example, cash or gift card). Room charges and partial payments do not trigger the alert and do not release unused authorizations. Credit card payments do not trigger the alert.

  1. Select the Enterprise, property, revenue center, or zone, click Setup, and then click Control Parameters.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. Select 73 - Enable unused Credit Card authorization release alert.
  4. Click Save.
