About Upgrading Unified Assurance

Your Oracle Communications Unified Assurance upgrade path depends on the version you are upgrading from and your preferred approach for upgrading from Linux 7 to Linux 8.

Upgrading means moving between major version numbers (for example, version 5.5.24 to version 6.1) or between operating systems (for example, version 6.0.3 on Linux 7 to version 6.1 on Linux 8). For information about updating from version 6.0.4 or higher on Linux 8 to version 6.1, see Updating Unified Assurance.

The following table lists the supported upgrade steps for each version, read from left to right. Because downtime is required for each major version upgrade and operating system upgrade, you will need to schedule a maintenance window for most upgrades.
