User Groups
User Groups is a standard configuration interface for the individual user groups of Unified Assurance. Each User Group allows for multiple users to be assigned security restrictions under one simple administration element. Individual groups can be assigned different permissions based on their role in the system, their specific customer devices, or their default diagram view.
For conceptual information about user groups, roles, and users, see the following topics in Unified Assurance Security Guide:
For information about interacting with the grid and form, see Standard Configuration Interface in Unified Assurance Concepts.
This user interface calls REST methods from the api/AAA/userGroups endpoints. See REST API for Unified Assurance Core for details.
The UI path for this interface is Configuration -> AAA -> User Groups.

Best Practices
-
You can use the User Groups interface to add users to a primary user group, but you cannot simply remove them from a primary group. All users must always belong to a single primary group, and can optionally belong to multiple subgroups.
-
To move a user to a new primary group, add them to the destination group, which automatically removes them from the previous primary group. You can use the User Groups interface or the Users interface to change a user's primary group.
-
Use the Users interface to add or remove a user from subgroups.
