This feature supports the Equipment Identity Register (EIR) using the Diameter protocol, or more precisely the S13 Diameter interface. It will be running on top of SCTP transport protocol. This feature adds the support for S13 interface to allow diameter requests to be received by an EAGLE card (S13 card). S13 card will validate the message and forward this request to the EPAP/IMSI SCCP card. SCCP card will perform the EIR database lookup and send the response back to S13 card. S13 card will formulate a reply using response received from SCCP card and send it back to the requester. A new DEIRHC GPL supporting a S13/S13’ diameter interface over SCTP will be added. This DEIRHC GPL will run on E5-SM8G-B hardware or SLIC hardware.
