2.1.7 Creating an Exascale Volume Clone Directly from an Existing Volume

Oracle Exadata System Software release 25.1.0 introduces the capability to create an Exascale volume clone directly from an existing Exascale volume using a single command.

This new capability simplifies the procedure for cloning a volume. Previously, you had to use separate commands to:

  1. Create an Exascale volume snapshot.

  2. Clone the snapshot.
