2.1 Release 26ai (23.26.2) — May 2026
Iceberg Handler with ADLS EntraID Support
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now supports Azure EntraID authentication for the Iceberg handler when connecting to Azure Storage endpoints. Users can configure authentication using tenantId, clientId, and clientSecret, enabling more secure and flexible access management for Azure-based deployments.
Support for SQL based operation aggregation for AI Data Platform
Oracle Intelligent Data Lake now supports SQL-based aggregation capabilities, enabling users to perform advanced data aggregation and analysis using SQL. This enhancement provides greater flexibility for processing large-scale data sets and supports improved analytics and data-driven decision-making workflows.
Need to support OATH authentication in GGS for Kafka
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now supports OAUTH authentication for Kafka connections, enabling secure connectivity to Kafka environments that require token-based authentication. This enhancement improves security and expands compatibility with modern Kafka deployments and authentication standards.
Support for Mapping to Boolean in GGDAA snowflake streaming handler
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data includes enhancements to the Snowflake streaming handler to improve support for BOOLEAN data mappings. These updates address issues related to replication of BOOLEAN values from source databases to Snowflake, improving data consistency and reliability for streaming replication workflows.
Apache Iceberg v3 Support
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now supports Apache Iceberg v3, enabling improved compatibility with modern data lake environments. This enhancement provides support for the latest Iceberg table format capabilities, helping improve interoperability, scalability, and performance for big data integration workflows.
Support ${primarykeysmap} metacolumns keyword
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now supports the
${primarykeysmap} metacolumn keyword, enabling
primary key column names and values to be generated in JSON map format. This
enhancement improves structured metadata handling and simplifies downstream
data integration and processing workflows.
Kafka Connect Handler to produce the Kafka message key as a record
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now supports structured Kafka message
keys through the new keyMetaColumnsTemplate configuration
parameter for the Kafka Connect Handler. This enhancement enables primary
key values to be generated as structured records instead of strings when
integrating with Confluent Schema Registry, improving schema flexibility,
data consistency, and downstream application compatibility.
Delivery to Pub/Sub fails unless scopes are explicitly
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data includes enhancements to the Google
Pub/Sub handler to improve authentication and connectivity reliability.
These updates add support for explicit OAuth scope
configuration, helping resolve authentication and connection timeout issues
when delivering data to Google Pub/Sub environments.
GGDAA | Stage/Merge targets to support column names with any character (/,$,#,@ or non-Ascii) supported by the target database
Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data now includes enhanced support for column names containing special characters in stage/merge replication workflows for supported targets such as Snowflake. This enhancement improves compatibility with existing source schemas and helps ensure reliable replication for environments using non-standard column naming conventions.

Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data includes enhancements to improve handling of special characters in column names during Avro formatting and replication workflows. These updates help improve replication reliability and compatibility for multi-table environments and targets such as Snowflake when source schemas contain non-standard column naming conventions.
New Section for Kafka Document: Configuration Considerations and Best Practices
Introduces a dedicated Kafka best practices section covering configuration tuning, deployment guidance, operational recommendations, and production considerations for Kafka integrations.
GGDAA | Doc | Iceberg | REST Catalog based on AWS S3 Tables
Adds documentation for Apache Iceberg REST Catalog integration using AWS S3 Tables, including configuration examples and deployment guidance.
Best Practices for Cloud Object Storage Replication

Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now supports the Azure Synapse handler with Microsoft Entra authentication as a secure option.
Apache Iceberg Table Type support in Google BigQuery Storage Write
GG for DAA now support the Google Storage Write API that can create external Iceberg Table format. It also enable the Iceberg Table Format creation with BigQuery Storage Write API Handler.
Support special character in Avro staging file
Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now supports the special characters in Avro staging file.
Additional support for multipart upload in AWS S3
Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now provides additional support for the multipart upload in AWS S3.
OCI Object Storage support with Iceberg Catalog
Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now supports the OCI Object Storage support with Iceberg Catalog.
Support Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams as source and target
The eventstreams feature in the Microsoft Fabric Real-Time allows to use real-time events into Fabric, transform them, and then route them to various destinations without writing any code (no-code). Additionally, with Apache Kafka endpoints available on the Eventstream item, it allows to external applications to send or consume real-time events using the Kafka protocol. Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now supports the Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams as source and target.
Support Google Cloud Managed Service for Apache Kafka as source and target
Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) now supports the Google Cloud Managed Service for Apache Kafka as source and target. The user can establish the connection between Google Cloud Managed Service and OCI using the subnet. User can run the replicate for Apache Kafka using this connection.
Stage/Merge targets to support column names with any character (/,$,#,@ or non-Ascii) supported by the target database
The Oracle GoldenGate for DAA targets now supports the column names with any characters.
Databricks target accesses external table data using direct path queries
Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Analytics and Applications (GG for DAA) Databricks target now accesses staging data in the data files without creating an external table using direct path queries. This approach can simplify setup and potentially avoid external table refresh issues by directly querying AVRO files from the storage location, for example, ADLS Gen2, S3, or GCS.

2.4 Release 23ai (23.10) — November 2025
Support Delivery to Oracle AI Data Platform
GG for DAA now officially supports the Oracle AI Data Platform is in 23.10.x. The Oracle AI Data Platform as a new product offering that brings together data lake, analytics, and orchestration services into one unified platform. Support for Scaling Ingest into Fabric with Partitioning
GG for DAA now supports the partitioning feature to help scale data ingestion into Fabric more efficiently. This feature allows the use of column number in a table as partitioning keys.
Support delivery to OCI Streaming with Apache Kafka
A new connection is added in GG for DAA to support GGS for OCI Streaming with Apache Kafka. In GGS Big Data image, a drop-down target selection for OCI Streaming with Apache Kafka is added.
Support delivering array type into Google BigQuery.
GG for DAA now supports array types for Google BigQuery. Supported datatypes for arrays and UDTs are added for Oracle GoldenGate Postgres.
Support encrypting userid and password in JAAS configuration file
GG for DAA now supports to encrypt the userid and password in the
jaas.conf file from the Oracle GoldenGate bigdata
side. This feature supports the 'PLAIN', 'SCRAM-SHA-256', and 'SCRAM-SHA-512
sasl.mechanism.
Support for vectors to JSON formatter
GG for DAA now supports vectors to JSON formatter. The vector type is converted to the typed version of the vector based on the available metadata type.
Support for Databricks Open Source JDBC Driver
GG for DAA Databricks handler is now certified with Open Source JDBC Driver.
