Direct Quote to Order Integration for Oracle CPQ Running in Fusion
The Direct Quote to Order Native Integration feature allows sales representatives to initiate the transition from a finalized Quote to a Sales Order and track the real-time status of the fulfillment process. This update introduces a User Interface drawer that provides immediate visibility into the booking progress directly from the Quote Detail page.
Direct Quote to Order Native Integration for CPQ running in Fusion provides the following benefits:
- Converts very large quotes into orders without delay. Oracle CPQ handles the processing in the background so you can keep working on other tasks while the order is created.
- Reduces operational overhead by moving away from OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud). We’ve cut out the extra implementation costs and ongoing maintenance required to keep separate systems connected.
- Eliminates the licensing, implementation, and maintenance overhead associated with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) by utilizing the Oracle Business Messaging Framework (BMF) directly.
- Provides real-time visibility into the Book Order status by eliminating the wait time that often occurs after a sale is finalized. Sales reps no longer need to manually check back to see if an order was processed. This transparency speeds up the entire sales cycle.
Steps to enable and configure
Refer to the Oracle CPQ Administration Online Help after this feature is generally available in Oracle CPQ Update 26B.
