Retire Old Rule Hierarchies

Retire older credit and classification rule hierarchies by setting the status to retired. You can only retire root nodes of hierarchies and the entire hierarchy will be retired. You can only retire hierarchies where the periods are permanently closed. This will permanently disable the hierarchy and retire the custom qualifiers if they aren't used in any other hierarchies. Retiring a custom qualifier creates space for newer qualifiers if needed.

Retired rules are no longer used in any processing and create space for new custom qualifiers.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

Retiring of rules is irreversible and can be done only if the period the rule is in is permanently closed.
