CED - Sent (Email and SMS): Attributes Denoting Tracking Inclusion in the Message

The email Sent CED output and SMS Sent CED output have new attributes customers may request in their CED export. The attributes denote if the given Sent message was instrumented with behavioral tracking mechanisms. These attributes are useful for external waterfall reporting and ratio calculations.

  • (Email) Sent
    • OPEN_TRACKING_INCLUDED
    • CLICK_TRACKING_INCLUDED
    • CONV_TRACKING_INCLUDED
  • SMS_SENT
    • CLICK_TRACKING_INCLUDED
    • CONV_TRACKING_INCLUDED

Each of these attributes have the following possible values:

  • NULL
  • Y - The message is personalized with the given tracking mechanism
  • N - The message is not personalized with the given tracking mechanism

These attributes are not included in the SENT and SMS_SENT CED output by default, and may be included in the CED output upon request.

These attributes are useful for external waterfall reporting and ratio calculations. Customers may also understand if a given message was or was not instrumented for tracking a specific behavioral engagement.

Steps to enable and configure

Customers must submit a My Oracle Support SR requesting the output of these attributes in their CED exports.
