Risk Data Source configuration and synchronization
Configure and manage external data sources used by risk algorithms from a single location. Risk Data Sources supports access data and, where available, transaction data that can be analyzed for an individual data source or across multiple data sources.
From the Risk Data Sources page, you can:
- View external data sources and custom data source connectors in one list. Custom data sources follow the seeded list and appear alphabetically.
- Set up a data source, update its name and active status, and manage or view credentials.
- Test a connection and view whether a data source is ready for synchronization.
- Review synchronization status, last successful synchronization dates, and last attempted synchronization dates.
- Run or schedule access and transaction synchronizations, where supported, and view the associated job ID.
- View record history and switch between active and inactive data sources.
Supported seeded data sources include EPM ARCS, EPM FCCS, E-Business, and OCI. Transaction synchronization is available only for data sources that support transactions.
Business benefit
Centralizing risk data source administration helps organizations monitor data-source readiness and synchronization activity in one place. This improves visibility into the data used by risk algorithms.
Steps to enable and configure
- From the Newsfeed home page, open Risk Management.
- In the Algorithm module, select Risk Data Sources in the in-app navigation.
- Select Set Up for the external data source that you want to configure.
- Enter the required authentication details and select Test Connection.
- Update the data source when the connection test succeeds. The data source becomes active and its Access or Transaction Sync Status is set to Ready for sync.
Tips and considerations
- Data sources remain inactive until configured.
- If a connection test fails, the data source remains inactive and its Access or Transaction Sync Status is set to Not ready for sync.
- Deactivating an external data source moves related filters, entitlements, and algorithms to In Trash and purges related algorithm tasks.
- Run Manage Data Access Full Sync from Monitor and Scheduling Jobs, not from the Risk Data Sources page.
