Define reusable Algorithm Filters
Algorithm Filters are reusable definitions that specify the data an algorithm keeps or removes during evaluation. They support Sensitive Access Monitor, Segregation of Duties (SoD) Access Monitor, Transaction Monitor, and Change Tracking algorithm types.
With Algorithm Filters, you can:
- View Algorithm Filters by reference code, name, short description, data source, usage count for published algorithms, and status.
- Search, sort, and select Algorithm Filters from the list.
- Create Algorithm Filter definitions from Algorithm Filter Lists or while defining an algorithm.
- Configure filter criteria based on the algorithm type and data source. Access Monitor filters can include user lists, role lists, data security lists, user-defined access paths (UDAPs), users with data access, and users without data access. Transaction Monitor and Change Tracking filters can use a user list, imported data list, or setup and operational data list.
- Use Add to Algorithms to associate an existing filter with one or more algorithms.
- Review where an Algorithm Filter is used by using Where Used and the published-algorithm count.
- Share Algorithm Filter records and manage stakeholders.
- Use available actions, based on record status and authorization, to publish, archive, move filters to trash, restore filters, request access, migrate filters, and import or export data.
Business benefit
Helps you define and reuse exclusion criteria for access algorithms, while making it easier to see where filters are used and maintain them over time.
Steps to enable and configure
To access Algorithm Filter Lists:
- From the Newsfeed home page, open Risk Management.
- In the Algorithm module, select Algorithms Filter Lists in the in-app navigation.
Tips and considerations
- Each Algorithm Filter is separately secured.
- An Algorithm Filter can be simple, using one item such as a user list, or complex, using multiple filter items.
- Copying a filter requires create access; archiving or moving a filter to trash requires edit access.
Access requirements
Access to Algorithm Filter Lists is controlled through Stakeholders. Users can view only filters for which they have explicit authorization. When the All Employees participant group is assigned, users can view the filters in the list. Additional actions, including edit and copy, depend on the user’s authorization and applicable privileges.
