Access Certification campaign management

Redwood Platform

Manage access certification campaigns that collect decisions about whether users should retain or remove assigned role access. A campaign brings together the certification tasks, certifiers, reviewers, approvers, and results needed to complete an access review.

Use the campaign overview to monitor progress, identify outstanding work, and act on campaign tasks. Performance tiles show pending certification, review, and approval tasks, as well as completed and total tasks. Select a tile to view relevant tasks, including task status, due date, assigned participants, role name, user name, and activity.

Campaign stakeholders can also:

  • View the certification definition for the campaign.
  • Export the selected task view.
  • Reassign certification tasks to an eligible participant.
  • Suspend and resume tasks when appropriate.
  • Reopen selected completed tasks so certifiers can revise and resubmit their decisions.
  • Edit, copy, close, move to trash, archive, or restore a campaign when authorized.

Review and approval task views appear only when those stages are configured for the campaign. The campaign overview refreshes when the page is reloaded.

Business benefit

Gain greater visibility into access-review progress, overdue work, and certification outcomes. This visibility helps organizations complete access reviews more consistently, support timely remediation, and strengthen access-governance oversight.

Steps to enable and configure

Before creating a new campaign, ensure Fiscal Period has defined values because it's a required field in the campaign form.

  1. From the Fusion Applications Newsfeed home page, open Reference Data and Settings.
  2. Search for and then select Fiscal Period. You can refer to this feature in What's New for additional information: Reference Data management.
  3. If no values exist, click Add.
  4. Define the reference code, period name, start date, and end date. Repeat steps as needed.
  5. Navigate back to Fusion Applications Newsfeed and select Access Certifications module.

Tips and considerations

  • Campaign actions are available only while a campaign is In Progress or Overdue, where applicable.
  • You can't close a campaign until certifiers have responded and required approvers have agreed.
  • Reopening a task retains its previous responses and comments, and records the action in the activity log.
  • Moving a launched campaign to trash removes its tasks from participant and campaign overview views until the campaign is restored.

Access requirements

Access Certification Campaigns access is controlled through Stakeholders. Users can view only campaigns for which they have explicit authorization. When the All Employees participant group is assigned, users can view the campaigns in the list. Additional actions, including edit and copy, depend on the user's authorization and applicable privileges.

For access details, refer to Risk Management secured record access framework in this What’s New.
