Payroll Processing Schedule
Bank holidays are non-processing days, so make sure you don't commit payrolls on those days. You can’t use a non-processing day as a pay date. To make sure your tax deposits are on time, give yourself enough time to process payrolls. Check the Amended date for calculation and funding before you commit the payroll.
If your usual payday is a holiday, move the check date to the business day before or after. For example, if the holiday is on a Monday, use Friday or Tuesday instead.
All direct deposits and service-printed checks must be committed at least two banking days before the check date by 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Bank holidays follow the Federal Reserve Bank’s schedule. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, banks close that day. If it’s on a Sunday, banks close the following Monday.
