Setting Up a Partner for Commission

Before a partner can earn commission, you need to mark them as eligible.

To mark a partner eligible for commission, open the partner record. Click the Financial subtab, and check the Eligible for Commission box. Click Save.

When you create a new partner record and mark them as eligible for commission, NetSuite also creates a vendor record for them. These records are linked, so if you make changes to one, NetSuite updates both. Keeping them linked lets you write a commission check to the partner.

Note:

If there's already a vendor record linked to the partner record, NetSuite doesn't create another one.
