ASA Sales Forecasts and Quotas
Sales reps can save their sales forecast as an ASA forecast when they check the Alternate Sales Amount box. This forecast permits managers to track it based on ASA, in addition to a forecast based on billings. For more information on sales forecasts, see Sales Forecasting.
You can also track quotas based on alternate sales amounts. To create an ASA quota, go to Transactions > Quota/Forecast > Establish Quotas. Set the quota criteria and amounts, select Alt. Sales Amount in the Target On field, and then click Save.
The following KPIs and report snapshots track alternate sales amounts:

Sales (Orders Alt.Sales) – This KPI shows the ASA total for transactions entered in the time period you select.

New Business (Orders Alt.Sales) – This KPI shows the ASA total of all transactions for the period you choose by customers whose first sales occur in that period.

Forecast (Alt.Sales) – This KPI shows the total ASA forecast for the date range you choose.

Forecast Override (Alt.Sales) – This KPI shows your ASA override forecast for the date range you choose.

Quota (Alt.Sales) – This KPI shows the sum of all top-level ASA quotas as of the date you choose.

Sales Managers by Sales Orders – This sales management snapshot shows sales and ASA totals for the sales reps assigned to each manager. This report snapshot drills down to the Forecast vs. Quota reports.

Comparative Sales (Orders Alt.Sales) – This report snapshot shows the ASA total for sales orders in the periods you choose.

Sales Reps by Sales Orders (Alt.Sales) – This report snapshot shows the top-selling sales reps by alternate sales amounts from sales orders for the date range you select.
With the ASA feature enabled, the Sales Managers by Forecast report snapshot shows ASA forecast columns and does not show variances.
The following reports are available when you enable the ASA feature:

Alt.Sales Forecast vs. Quota – This report compares the ASA quota to the ASA forecast and actual ASA. The report shows the ASA quota, calculated and override ASA forecast amounts, and actual ASA with variances.

Alt.Sales and Billings Forecast vs. Quota – This report shows both ASA billings and traditional forecasts and quotas. Unlike other quota reports, this report does not include variances.

Alt.Sales Forecast by Sales Rep Summary and Detail – These reports show each sales rep's calculated and override ASA forecast for the period you define.
With the ASA feature enabled, the Forecast vs. Quota report is renamed Billings Forecast vs. Quota.
