E-Document Audit Trail and Statuses

The E-Document Audit Trail subtab logs all changes to an e-document. The Audit Trail is available on the E-Document subtab of a transaction record. The e-document status describes the current processing state of a transaction or e-document. E-document statuses are indicated in the E-Document Status field on the E-Document subtab. BRN or Scheme ID Mismatch During Certification

When you submit an outbound e-document for certification, Avalara may return a CompanyId not found error.

If the outbound e-document uses a PEPPOL mandate, Electronic Invoicing compares two identifiers:

  • The Scheme ID value in the generated e-document.

  • The Scheme ID value provided during mandate activation, displayed as the BRN value on the mandate activation screen.

If the values do not match, Electronic Invoicing stops further certification status processing for the transaction. Electronic Invoicing also takes the following actions:

  • Does not call the localization document status plug-in.

  • Sets the E-Document Status of the transaction to Certification Data Error.

  • Adds an entry to the E-Document Audit Trail subtab of the transaction.

The audit trail message identifies the Scheme ID and shows both values. You can use these values to determine which value you need to correct.

The following message appears in the audit trail:

{SCHEME_ID} value in the template ({SCHEME_ID_VALUE}) doesn't match the {SCHEME_ID} value entered during mandate activation ({BRN_VALUE}).

If the Scheme ID value provided during mandate activation is incorrect, contact NetSuite Customer Support.

If the Scheme ID value in the template is incorrect, update the Scheme ID value. Depending on your configuration, update the e-document template or custom data source mapping. Regenerate the e-document and submit it again for certification.
