Journal Entry Supported Operations
The following operations are supported for use with the journal entry record:
add | delete | deleteList | get | getDeleted | getList | getSavedSearch | getSelectValue | search | update | updateList | upsert | upsertList
If you update any type of journal entry that has been applied as a payment to an invoice or vendor bill, the relationship between the journal entry and payment is removed and the payment is no longer applied.
You can also use the asynchronous equivalents of SOAP web services list operations. For information about asynchronous operations, see SOAP Web Services Asynchronous Operations. For more information about request processing, see Synchronous Versus Asynchronous Request Processing.
For examples of how to use the add operation, see Adding a Journal Entry and Adding a Book Specific Journal Entry.
