NetSuite Connector Test Products Prerequisites

Create or find one or more test products to use for setting up product sync. The test products or items will have changes or adjustments to their data in the marketplace or cart, so you'll want to choose products that won't affect your live sales. Choose products that don't get much customer traffic to avoid affecting your live sales.

NetSuite Connector offers two product sync options: Price and Quantity sync, and Full Product sync. You can only run one sync at a time per connector or account combination.

Price and Quantity Sync

If you are setting up price and quantity sync, you must have test items that exist in both NetSuite and your marketplace or cart. Ensure that you meet the following prerequisites:

Full Product Sync

When setting up full product sync, choose test items based on whether you sell variation items or not. If you sell variation items, follow these prerequisites:

If you sell standalone items, you'll need one sample product in NetSuite for testing.

Item Fields

Most marketplaces and carts require the following fields. Fill out these basic fields for your test items in NetSuite, plus any other data you want to sync:

Amazon and eBay have additional required fields beyond what's listed.

Creating New Product Listings

If you want NetSuite Connector to create new product listings, make sure your test items don't already exist in your marketplace or cart.

Designating The Products To Sync

After choosing your test products, flag them for syncing so NetSuite Connector knows to sync them. Don't set all your items to sync at first, even if that's what you want to do eventually. When you go live, you will have to flag more products to sync, but for now, flag only the test products to sync.
