Automatic Deactivation of Expired Promotions

Having an excessive number of active promotions can affect the performance of the promotions engine and potentially other related features. Therefore, all promotions will be automatically deactivated one year after its promotion end date. With the expired promotions deactivated, you might notice performance improvements when performing the following tasks:

• Adding items to a transaction and submitting a transaction in NetSuite, especially when using the Auto-Apply Promotions feature.

• Adding items to the cart and placing orders on a SuiteCommerce or SuiteCommerce Advanced website, especially when using the Auto-Apply Promotions feature.

• Applying promotion codes manually either in NetSuite, SuiteCommerce website, or SuiteCommerce Advanced website.

Using the System Notes v2 Workbook, you can track deactivation changes made to expired promotions and identify whether a promotion was deactivated automatically by the system or manually by a user.
