APM Scenarios for SuiteCommerce
This topic applies to SuiteCommerce and the 2020.1.1 release of SuiteCommerce Advanced and later.
The following scenarios are a guide to using Application Performance Management (APM) results to improve SuiteCommerce (SC) or SuiteCommerce Advance (SCA) performance:
Scenario A – Placing an Order is Slow
Follow the steps to resolve the scenario where placing an order is slow.
To resolve the scenario in SC APM

Go to Customization > SuiteCommerce Performance > SuiteCommerce Action Diagnostics.

Click the Place Order action tile.

On the chart, review any points in time where scripts or workflows ran with the action.

Click a point in time you are interested in to open the action history table.

Review the logs on the table.

For each log you are interested in, click the corresponding open icon.
The SuiteCommerce Action History Details page appears for the log.

Review the page to see which SuiteApp, user event script, client script, or workflow affects the performance of the action.
Scenario B – Home Page is Slow
Follow the steps to resolve the scenario where the home page is loading slowly.
To resolve the scenario in SC APM

Go to Customization > SuiteCommerce Performance > SuiteCommerce Page Type Diagnostics.

In the Filters panel, enter information according to the data you are interested in. Click Refresh.

On the Content Display Times and Views Over Time chart, click the point in time when the home page was loading slowly.
The Page Type Views table appears.

Review the logs on the table.

For each log you are interested in, click the corresponding open icon.
The Page View Details page appears for the log.

On the Page View Details page, point to the resources that are taking the most time.

Use the initiator type timings on the tooltip to determine which load phases affect the performance of the page.
