Setting up Thailand-specific Features and Preferences

As a NetSuite user, your account should already be configured to suit your country and business-specific needs. However, you may check your account configuration to make sure that Thailand-specific features are enabled and working. To do this, make sure that your NetSuite role has the appropriate permissions; otherwise, you should contact your account administrator.

Enabled Features

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

  2. On the Company subtab, under the International section, make sure that the Multi-language box (if you are using more than one language in NetSuite) and Multiple Currencies box (if you are using more than one currency in NetSuite) are checked.

  3. On the SuiteCloud subtab, make sure that all boxes under SuiteBuilder, SuiteScript, and SuiteGL sections are checked.

SuiteCloud and SuiteApps

  1. In SuiteCloud, make sure that the following SuiteCloud features are enabled:

    • SuiteBuilder

    • SuiteScript

    • Custom Plug-ins

  2. For companies using NetSuite across multiple subsidiaries and countries, see OneWorld Overview.

  3. Install or confirm that the following SuiteApps have been installed (if applicable):

    • Electronic Bank Payments - Provides electronic payment file formats for Thailand banks that enable businesses to pay vendor bills and employee expenses, and receive payments from customers.

    • Payment Gateway - Provides integration with AsiaPay, AsiaPay External Checkout and eWAY Rapid credit card payment gateways for Thailand.

    • Southeast Asia Localization - Provides customizable templates for tax invoice and credit note that complies with the Thailand tax requirements. The SuiteApp also includes additional electronic bank payment file formats for Thailand.

    • International Tax Reports - Provides the pre-configured VAT tax codes and rates and the Form P.P.30.

NetSuite Company Settings

NetSuite can also be localized based on the specific country requirements and preferences. For Thailand, you need to:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Company Information and do the following:

    1. Set Currency Locale to Thailand and the Currency Symbol to THB (Thailand Baht).

    2. In the VAT Registration No. field, specify the VAT Registration Number.

User Preferences

In NetSuite, users can define their personal preferences, which you can know more about in Setting Personal Preferences. To set personal preferences suited for using NetSuite in Thailand, go to the Home page, point to the Home icon and click Set Preferences. On the General subtab, go to the Localization section where you can set the following locale-specific preferences:
