About the Salesforce Connection Apps
Important:
The creation of new connected apps by default has been disabled in the Spring '26 Release of Salesforce. Use an External Client App for new Salesforce Connector connections.
Create and configure an External Client App in Salesforce, then select Existing External Client App in the Salesforce Connection step of the Setup Wizard.
For the External Client App, enable the Client Credentials flow and set the Run As user to the same Salesforce integration user that you enter in the Setup Wizard. When you select Existing External Client App, enter the consumer key and consumer secret for the External Client App.
Existing connected apps continue to function. It's recommended to migrate to an External Client App before support ends for connected apps.
