Manage Text Enhance Actions

This topic describes how to manage Text Enhance actions in Prompt Studio.

Access Text Enhance Actions in Prompt Studio

NetSuite users with an Administrator role or with another role that has the Setup Prompts (ADMIN_PROMPTS) permission can access Prompt Studio.

To access Text Enhance Actions in Prompt Studio:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > AI > Text Enhance Actions. The Text Enhance Actions subtab of the Prompt Studio page is displayed.

View Text Enhance Actions

You can view Text Enhance actions and filter the list by various properties.

To view Text Enhance actions:

  1. Go to the Text Enhance Actions tab of the Prompt Studio page. By default, the list shows all system Text Enhance action records.

  2. Locate the Text Enhance action you want to view. You can search by name or search by using filters.

    • Search for Text Enhance action by name: Optionally, you can narrow the list scope by typing part of or all of the Text Enhance action name in the search box.

    • Search for Text Enhance action using filters: Optionally, you can use filters to narrow the list scope. Click Filters and then select one or more filters:

      • Type: System or Custom

        System Text Enhance actions, which have a negative ID number, are provided by NetSuite. System Text Enhance actions can't be changed or deleted, but they can be copied to create custom Text Enhance actions.

        Custom Text Enhance actions are Text Enhance actions created in your account.

      • Language: Search but language associated with the Text Enhance action.

  3. Click the Text Enhance action name. The record is displayed.

Customize Text Enhance Actions

When you customize a Text Enhance action, you create a copy of the Text Enhance action that you can edit. Customize a Text Enhance action when:

  • You want to customize a system Text Enhance action.

  • You want to create the same Text Enhance action but for a different language.

  • You want to create a partial Text Enhance action with the same effect as the full Text Enhance action.

To customize a Text Enhance action:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > AI > Text Enhance Actions. The Text Enhance Actions tab of the Prompt Studio page is displayed.

  2. Locate the Text Enhance action you want to customize. For more information, see View Text Enhance Actions.

  3. Click the Text Enhance action’s Customize link. The Text Enhance Action page displays a copy of the Text Enhance action's details.

  4. Edit the Text Enhance action details. For more information, see Edit Text Enhance Actions.

  5. Click Save.

Create New Text Enhance Actions

There are two ways to create a new Text Enhance action.

To create a new Text Enhance action from outside Prompt Studio:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > AI > Text Enhance Actions > New.

  2. On the Text Enhance Action page, complete the details. For more information, see Edit Text Enhance Actions.

  3. Click Save.

To create a new Text Enhance action from within Prompt Studio:

  1. Click the Text Enhance Actions tab.

  2. Click Create Text Enhance Action.

  3. On the Text Enhance Action page, complete the details. For more details, see Edit Text Enhance Actions.

  4. Click Save.

Edit Text Enhance Actions

You can edit custom Text Enhance actions. You cannot edit system Text Enhance actions, but when you customize a system Text Enhance action, you create a custom copy that you can edit.

To edit a Text Enhance action:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > AI > Text Enhance Actions. The Text Enhance Actions tab of the Prompt Studio page is displayed.

  2. Locate the Text Enhance action you want to edit. For more information, see View Text Enhance Actions.

  3. Click the Text Enhance action’s Edit link. The Text Enhance Action page displays the Text Enhance action's details.

  4. Complete the Text Enhance action's details:

    1. Complete the Basic Fields:

      • Name: Give the Text Enhance action a descriptive name. The Text Enhance action name is displayed in the list, so use a name that distinguishes this Text Enhance action from other Text Enhance actions.

      • Script ID: Enter a unique ID to reference the Text Enhance action in scripts. When you save, the prefix custteaction is added to the script ID you entered.

    2. Complete the Target Fields:

      • Language: Select the language for the Text Enhance action. This setting determines which Text Enhance actions are available to select for the prompt. For example, if the prompt language is Japanese, then only Text Enhance actions with Language set to Japanese are displayed in the prompt's Action menu.

      • Is Partial: Optionally, select this choice to create a partial Text Enhance action. When a user selects text in a field that has Text Enhance, applicable partial Text Enhance actions are displayed in a popup menu.

  5. Click Save.

Test a Text Enhance Action

To test a Text Enhance action:

  1. In Prompt Studio, test the prompt that uses the action. For more information, see Test a Prompt.

  2. Go to the record and field where the Text Enhance action is present, and test the Text Enhance action. To test Text Enhance actions in different languages, you must change the language in your user preferences to match the language of the Text Enhance action.
