Using the Exception Management Dashboard Portlet

Important:

Exception Management (EM) is currently not available to all customers. The Exception Management feature depends on sufficient data volume and model training readiness. If you can't access Exception Management, contact your NetSuite Account Manager for guidance and next steps.

You can use the Exception Management dashboard portlet to monitor exceptions at a glance on your NetSuite Home page. For users with access, the portlet is added automatically after Exception Management is enabled. You can also add the portlet manually if it isn't on your Home page. The portlet displays the top five exceptions, ordered by priority, and links directly to the Exception Management list page for full review and actions. The portlet doesn't include a sensitivity slider.

To use the portlet, you must have the Exception Management feature enabled, and you must have the Financial Exception Management permissions to access the list.

While the portlet loads or refreshes, it shows a loading indicator. If data can't be loaded, the portlet shows an error or empty state.

The Period filter defaults to the current and previous accounting periods when both periods are open. If the previous period is closed, only the current open period is selected. If the current and previous periods are closed, the filter selects the next open period. Manual filter selections override these defaults. Portlet filters include Select All and show only values associated with existing exceptions.

To add or move the portlet on your Home page:

  1. Click Personalize at the top of your Home page.

  2. On the Standard Content tab, click Exception Management. This adds the Exception Management portlet to your Home page.

  3. You can drag the portlet to the location you'd like it to appear on the home page.
