Updating Actual Production Dates in Work Orders
When you report data using the Manufacturing Mobile scanner interface, work order actual production start and end dates automatically update. However, you can still manually edit these dates when necessary.
-
To automatically update actual production start and end dates in work orders, go to NetSuite Manufacturing Preferences and check the Automatically Fill Actual Production Start and End Dates box.
For more information, see Manufacturing Preferences.
-
If the work order actual production start date is available, updated, or populated, the start date does not update when reported using the mobile scanner.
-
The date of the first work order Start updates as the actual production start date in the work order.
-
If the work order actual production end date is available, updated, or populated, the end date does not update when reported using the mobile scanner.
-
The actual production end date is the date that the work order production quantity is fulfilled.
For example, if the work order quantity is 100 units, the actual production end date updates when the outstanding quantity recorded is 0.
