How SuiteCommerce CAPTCHA Works
After you enable SuiteCommerce CAPTCHA for your web store, a security step is added to customer interactions, such as registration, login, and checkout.
Here's how SuiteCommerce CAPTCHA works when a customer interacts with a form on your web store that's protected by a CAPTCHA challenge:
-
A customer reaches a protected form, such as account registration, login, or checkout, on your site.
-
Before the form is submitted, a CAPTCHA challenge appears, asking the customer to complete a simple task, such as recognizing images or another action that bots can't perform.
-
The customer submits their response, which is sent to a third-party CAPTCHA provider (Google reCAPTCHA v2 or hCaptcha) for background verification.
-
If the response is correct, the customer proceeds to the next step, such as completing registration, logging in, or placing an order.
-
If the challenge isn't solved, the customer is asked to try again.
You can control which forms in your web store use CAPTCHA and select your preferred provider, such as Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha, in the SuiteCommerce Configuration record.
