How AI Unit usage is calculated
AI Unit usage is calculated after an AI task runs and is based on the actual AI processing required to complete that task. Consumption may vary depending on factors such as:

The AI feature being used

The size and complexity of the request

The amount of content or data being processed

The number of steps required to complete the task
Shorter or simpler requests typically consume fewer NetSuite AI Units. Longer requests, larger documents, complex workflows, and multi-step AI actions generally consume more. As a result, two similar requests may not always consume exactly the same number of units.
Published usage estimates can help customers plan and benchmark consumption. For example, a simple Ask Oracle question may consume approximately 10 NetSuite AI Units, while a more complex research question may consume between 50 and 200 NetSuite AI Units.
