SuiteCommerce Email Domains Blocklist User Experience

After you enable SuiteCommerce Email Domains Blocklist for your Commerce web store, customers encounter enhanced email validation during registration or checkout. Email Domains Blocklist stops users from registering or placing orders using untrusted or disposable email addresses, keeping your store safe from fraud or unwanted signups.

SuiteCommerce Email Domains Blocklist Flow

After a customer enters their email address during registration or checkout, here’s what happens:

  1. Email Entry: A customer enters their email address in a form on your website.

  2. Validation Checks: The email is checked to confirm its format is valid and that it's not on your blocklist.

If the customer enters an invalid email, such as customer@example, they'll see a message telling them to use a valid email.

If they enter an email from a blocked domain, they'll see a message telling them that they can't use that email address and must use a different one.

  3. Email Verification (if enabled): If you have also enabled SuiteCommerce Email Verification, a verification code is sent to email addresses that pass the domains blocklist check. See SuiteCommerce Email Verification.

  4. Registration or checkout: If the email domain isn't on the blocklist and the email is verified (if enabled), registration or checkout continues.
