Prerequisites for Cloning Environments

Before you begin cloning a NetSuite EPM Cloud environment, you must complete the following prerequisites.

Source environment:

• Inform users to not sign in to the source environment during the cloning process.

• Ensure no scheduled integration jobs are running on either NetSuite ERP or on the NetSuite EPM application.

• (Optional) If you need an updated snapshot for the migration, create and archive the latest backup snapshot of the source environment. See Backing up Artifacts and Application.

  Note:

  Cloning does not delete the existing snapshots or files in the inbox and outbox of the target environment. If Artifact Snapshot exists in the target environment, the application renames it as Artifact Snapshot_<DATE_TIME>. For example, Artifact Snapshot_2021_04_30_17:06:06.

Target environment:

• Ensure you have selected the appropriate NetSuite EPM business process.

• If the target environment has multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled, disable it. Then, verify that you can log in to the target environment without MFA. Cloning environments takes only basic authorization credentials for the target environment.

• Copy the URL for your target application. You need this URL when you perform the cloning process.

  • Example of test environment URL: https://epm-test-idDomain.epm.dataCenter.oraclecloud.com/epmcloud
