Making Top-Level Adjustments to the Operating Expense Budget

Use the OpEx Top Level Adj Budget form to review and make top-level adjustments to the Budget by expense Account and by Department.

To validate operating expense Budget values and make top-level adjustments:

  1. From the Home page, click the Budget card.

  2. Click the 3 tab on the left-hand side.

  3. Click OpEX Top Level Adj.

  4. In the Point of View (POV), select a Scenario, Version, Subsidiary, and Currency.

    If you use Forms 1.0, click the Go icon Screenshot of the Go icon to apply the changes to the POV.

  5. By default, the OpEx Forecast is collapsed by expense Account and Department. Click the Expand icons Expand Icon beside Expense and Total Department to show the relevant detail levels. Continue to expand rows until you locate the Account and Department intersection that you want to adjust.

  6. Review the Budget and, if needed, enter adjustments or new values.

    Note:

    You can only enter Budget values at the detail level.

  7. Click Save.

  8. To run the Calculate Currencies business rule, click Actions.

    1. Select Business Rules.

    2. Click <Calculate Currencies>.

    Note:

    In some cases, executing the Calculate Currencies business rule may be a long running process.

  9. To populate top-level members with the adjusted data in the input currency, right-click the data grid, and then select Agg to Income Statement Budget.
