Creating a Resource Request
Resource requests act as a folder for detailed resource searches, or resource request queues. Every resource request queue must be in a resource request.
To Create a resource request:

Go to Resources > Resource requests.

Click the Create button.
The Create menu appears.

Under Resource request, do one of the following:

To create a resource request only, click New ....
The New resource request form appears. After you enter all information and save the form, the Resource Request Queue appears.

To create a resource request and add a resource request queue to the new resource request record, click New, quick ....

Enter all required information (indicated by an asterisk). The fields included on the form depends on the option you chose in the previous step.
Both forms include the following fields:

Name (Required) — Give the request a name.

Resource request number — Automatically filled in with the next number in sequence, based on the last resource request. You can also enter your own resource request number.

Default Customer : Project (Required)— Select the customer and project for which this request is used by default. If the customer and project you want are not present in the dropdown list, select Find more... or click the search icon
to search for a customer or project by name.

Expected start date — Enter the expected start date for the resources to start work. Click the Calendar icon to open a calendar to choose the date.

Duration — Enter the duration which the resource will work on the project. In the first dropdown, select a number between 1 and 31, and in the second dropdown, select either Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters, or Years.

Start date — Enter the start date for the resource’s assignment.

End date — Enter the end date for the resource’s assignment.
Note:You can specify either:

The Expected start date and a Duration

The Start date and a End date
Both field pairs are mutually exclusive. Entering the Expected start date and a Duration hides the Start date and a End date fields, and inversely.

Booking type (Required) — Select either Confirmed, Open, Pending, Rejected, or Tentative. When this field is displayed in a resource request queue, its value is read-only and based on the setting from the associated resource request.

Notes — Enter any notes for the resource request.

Attachments — Add any file attachments here. Attachments can include documents such as résumés, statements of work, etc.

Click Save.
After you enter all information and save the New resource request form, the New resource request queue form appears. See Creating and Editing a Resource Request Queue.
