Pro-Rate Selected Charges
This feature lets you select one or more charges and pro-rate the charges total when creating an invoice.
The selected charges will be pro-rated and new charges will be created for the remaining amounts. You can select the charge stage that should be assigned to these newly created remainder charges.
When enabled the bottom panel of the charge selection pages
To do so:

In the Create menu, click New invoice.
The charge selection page appears.

Select the customer and project you want to create an invoice for.
The page shows all charges for the project that are available for invoicing.

Select the charges you want to pro-rate. To do so, check or clear the box next to each charge to add or remove it from your selection.
The bottom panel shows the number of charges selected and the total amount for all selected charges.

Click Run.
The pro-rate selected charges total popup window appears.

Enter a value in any one of the following three fields. The other two are calculated automatically.

Retain % – The percentage of the amount to be retained in each charge.

Retain total – The monetary total amount to be retained across all selected charges.

Move remaining – The remainder amount across all selected charges.
For example, if the Total selected is
$1,600.00
and you enter80%
in the Retain % box, the Retain total changes automatically to1,280
and Move remaining to320

Pro-rating existing charges creates new charges for the remaining amount. Select the charge stage for these new remainder charges (the charge stage remainder charges should be moved to) in the To box.

Click Pro-rate.
The charge selection page shows the pro-rated charges and, depending on the charge stage you selected for them, the remainder charges.

Select the charges you want to include in your invoice and click Save to create the invoice.
