SuiteProjects Pro Account Types

The following types of SuiteProjects Pro account are available:

• Production account — Your SuiteProjects Pro production account is where you perform your daily business activities. Most users spend most of their time working in the production account.

• Release preview account — Your SuiteProjects Pro release preview account is a temporary test account that is running the new version of SuiteProjects Pro software. It is available for a short period before your production account is upgraded to a new SuiteProjects Pro release. Your release preview account is created automatically using a recent copy of your production account data.

  You can use the release preview account to:

  • Become familiar with the new features and other changes in the upcoming SuiteProjects Pro release.

  • Verify that your existing business workflows function as expected before your production account is upgraded to the new SuiteProjects Pro release.

• Sandbox account — A SuiteProjects Pro sandbox account is an entirely separate instance of SuiteProjects Pro from your production account where you can develop new processes, customizations and integrations. You can use a sandbox account to test and train your employees in existing integrations and processes without affecting your production account data. The data in the sandbox account is a copy of your production account data. The sandbox account can be refreshed to bring in new data from your production account. Each refresh overwrites the previous sandbox account. You can purchase one or several sandbox accounts to allow for development and testing teams to have their own accounts in which to experiment.

  During the upgrade period for a new release of SuiteProjects Pro, sandbox accounts are upgraded to the new version several weeks before your production account is upgraded to the new version. You should use your sandbox account to test new features and other changes in the upcoming SuiteProjects Pro release in addition to testing in your release preview account. Sandbox accounts have fewer limitations than release preview account.

The sign-in page you use to access SuiteProjects Pro is different for each type of account. The address bar of your browser shows a different URL after you sign in, depending on the type of account you signed in to. For more information, see Your Account URLs.
