Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Record

It is important to create a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record as this prevents sender address forgery by protecting the envelope sender address, allowing the domain administrator to specify which email server is allowed to send email from their domain.

An SPF record is a type of Domain Name Service (DNS) TXT record that identifies which email servers are permitted to send email on behalf of your company. The purpose of an SPF record is to detect and prevent spammers from sending messages with forged From addresses on your domain. The TXT record specifies a list of authorized host names that email can originate from for a given domain name.

Use the following SPF record for SuiteProjects Pro:

          include:spf.netsuitesuiteprojectspro.com
include:spf.openair.com
include:spf.openair1.com

Note:

OpenAir is now SuiteProjects Pro. As of 5 a.m. Eastern Time (UTC–5) on January 25, 2025, for your sandbox account, and on February 15, 2025, for your production account, service URLs with the netsuitesuiteprojectspro.com domain name replace URLs with the openair.com domain name.

The sender for all email originating from SuiteProjects Pro will change from www@openair.com to www@netsuitesuiteprojectspro.com. The email sender change will be rolled out in phases. Refer to the upcoming Proactive Feature Change Notification (PFCN) email for more information about the target date for the email sender change in your account.

To facilitate the transition, the new Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record for netsuitesuiteprojectspro.com will be appended to the existing SPF record (spf.openair.com). Note that this is subject to change in the future. You should still plan to update your company’s SPF record to include spf.netsuitesuiteprojectspro.com if or when your company’s SPF record does not exceed the DNS lookup limit.

For more information about the change and other required actions, see Introducing SuiteProjects Pro.
