Opening Forms in Excel
You can open forms in Microsoft Excel using Oracle Smart View for Office.
Data source types: Planning, Planning Modules, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Tax Reporting
To open a form:
- Connect to a data source.

In the Smart View Panel, expand the library tree list.
Depending on data source provider, you may see different artifacts indicated by the following icons:
— Form
— Smart Form (see Smart Forms)
— Flex Form (see Flex Forms)
— Saved Ad Hoc Grid (see Saving Ad Hoc Grids)
— Dashboard (see Opening Dashboards)

To open a single form, double-click the form
in the Smart View Panel.
Alternatively, you can also select the form and click Open Form in the Action Panel or right-click the form and select Open Form.

Optional: To open multiple forms at
once:

Select a forms folder and click
Open Forms in the Action
Panel.
Alternatively, you can right-click the forms folder and select Open Forms.
- In the Select Form dialog box, click the folder from which you want to open the forms and view its contents in the right panel.
- Select the required forms by press Shift to select consecutive forms and Ctrl to select non-consecutive forms.

Select a forms folder and click
Open Forms in the Action
Panel.
- Optional: To search for a specific form, use the search box on top of the tree list. For more information, see Searching for Forms and Other Artifacts.
- Optional: To view any instructions that may be associated with the form, in the provider ribbon, (for example, the Planning ribbon), select More and then Instructions.
