Viewing Insight Metadata in Sheet Information
You can view sheet information for insights in the Sheet Information dialog.
This action is available only in Microsoft Excel. After you insert an insight or function in a sheet, you can view additional details and metadata associated with the insight in the Sheet Information dialog.
To view sheet information:
- Insert an insight in a sheet or open an existing sheet with insights.
- From the Smart View ribbon, click Sheet Info.
- Review the sheet information in the Sheet Information
dialog:
For a sheet with insights, the following details are displayed in the IPM Insights section:
- ID: Indicates the ID of the insight.
- URL: Indicates the URL string of the data source provider to which the sheet is connected.
- Application: Indicates the application to which the sheet is connected.
- Plan Type: Indicates the plan type to which the sheet is connected.
- Description: Describes the insight statement in brief.
- Type: Indicates the type of insight — Anomaly, Prediction, or Forecast Variance and Bias.
- POV: Indicates the POV values associated with the insight.
- Creation Time: Indicates the time when the insight was created or generated.
- Status: Indicates the status of insight — Open or Closed.
- Impact Percentage: Indicates the relative amount of deviation or impact from the usual value in percentage.
- Impact Value: Displays the absolute value of the deviation for an insight.
For a sheet with insight inserted as function, only the Sheet Type is displayed with the value as Function in the General section.
- Optional: Select the following options as needed.
- Delete: Provides these options for deleting Oracle Smart View for Office information,
referred to as "metadata":
- Delete worksheet metadata
- Delete workbook metadata
- Delete all metadata (deletes workbook metadata and all worksheets)
- Save: Saves the Sheet Information content to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Delete: Provides these options for deleting Oracle Smart View for Office information,
referred to as "metadata":
- Optional: To copy a selected item in the list to the clipboard, press
Ctrl+C.
To copy the entire Sheet Information list, ensure that no items are selected in Sheet Information, then press Ctrl+C. If you have already selected an item in the list, then close Sheet Information, reopen it, and press Ctrl+C.
- Click Close.
