Install and Configure the Recipe

On your Oracle Integration instance, install the recipe to deploy and configure the integration and associated resources.

Install the recipe on your Oracle Integration instance. See Install a Recipe or Accelerator.

After you've installed the recipe, configure the following resources:

Configure the Oracle ERP Cloud Connection

  1. In the Connections section, click the connection name.
  2. In the Properties section, enter the Oracle ERP Cloud host name. For example: https://your_domain_name.fa.DC.oraclecloud.com.
  3. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    User Name Enter the user name of the account created for Oracle Integration on the Oracle ERP Cloud instance. See Configure Oracle ERP Cloud.
    Password Enter the password of the account created for Oracle Integration on the Oracle ERP Cloud instance.
  4. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  5. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured. In the resulting dialog, click Test again.
    A message confirms if your test is successful.
  6. To return to the project workspace, click Go back Back icon.

Configure the Twilio Connection

  1. In the Connections section, click the connection name.
  2. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    AccountSID Enter the Account SID of the Twilio account. See Configure Twilio.
    Auth Token Enter the Auth Token of the Twilio account.
  3. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  4. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured. In the resulting dialog, click Test again.
    A message confirms if your test is successful.
  5. To return to the project workspace, click Go back Back icon.

Set Up WhatsApp with Twilio

After you've configured the Twilio connection in Oracle Integration, you've to set up WhatsApp with Twilio in order to send WhatsApp notification messages with Twilio.

While you wait for WhatsApp to formally approve your account, you can try Twilio Sandbox for WhatApp to quickly test your recipe in a developer environment.

To send or receive WhatsApp messages to an end user from the Sandbox, you must first have any user join the Sandbox.

To join a Twilio Sandbox, send the message join <your Sandbox keyword> to your Sandbox number in WhatsApp.

  • Twilio Sandbox is pre-provisioned with a Twilio phone number ( For example, +1-415-523-8886). You can send the message to this number for testing.
  • The Sandbox keyword is a unique string that you can get from the Twilio Console.

Update the Integration Property

Update the integration property of the integration flow with an appropriate value.

Note:

This is an app-driven integration, and you can update the property value only before activating the recipe.
  1. In the Integrations section, click Actions Actions icon on the integration flow, then select Update property values.
  2. In the Update property values panel, update the integration property with appropriate value.
    • From: This integration property holds the phone number to which the WhatsApp notification message is sent. Enter the mobile number of the newly-assigned owner of a Oracle ERP Cloud sales lead.

      Note:

      For the purpose of testing, you can enter the free number that you received while joining a Twilio Sandbox. See Set Up WhatsApp with Twilio.
  3. Click Submit.

    A message confirms that the integration property has been updated successfully.
