Introduction

If you are an Oracle Integration customer, partner, or independent software vendor, you can build application-specific adapters for your own use or make it available for others.

As an Oracle partner, you may want to build adapters to better support your own customers, or you may want to make your adapters available for any Oracle Integration customer and monetize the adapters, thereby creating new revenue streams. This document provides the guidelines for building adapters for Oracle Integration using the Rapid Adapter Builder.

You can build the following types of adapters:
  • Integration Store Adapters: These adapters are available for use by any Oracle Integration customer. To develop these adapters, see Build Adapters for the Integration Store.
  • Private Adapters: These adapters are available only on your or your customer’s local Oracle Integration instance. There are no extensive guidelines to develop these adapters; however, you must follow some basic standards. See Build Private Adapters.
