Validating the Configuration Deployment Using the Web Client

You can validate the deployment of the configuration package using the following steps.

Verify Backup Project PAR File

To verify if the backup project PAR file is generated in the F96700R table, run the Software Update File Repository program (P96700R). Search for the configuration package deployed and verify that the corresponding backup file is generated.

For example, if the deployed configuration package is UN7_UDO_60_99.par then a backup file PRJ_CFG_UN7_UDO_UDO_DV920_BAK_60_99.par is generated.

Verify Objects Installed in the Configuration

To verify the objects installed from configuration package, access the Object Management Workbench - Web program (P98220W). Enter the configuration package name with * (example, *UN7_UDO*) in the Project QBE field. The system displays the objects installed from the configuration, in the lower grid of the form.
Note:
  1. To share UDO objects (if any) in the configuration package, from the lower grid, click Share from More Row Actions. This option is only for Data Pack configuration packages.

Validate the Configuration Deployoment

After the deployment of the configuration using the web client, the system generates the Deploy Configuration on Web (R96701C) and Report to Load Configuration Data (R98403WC) reports.

On completion of the deployment process, you can view the list of generated reports in the CafeOne window (Software Update Plan History) of the Work With Software Updates form. Click the View Output icons in the Software Update Plan History section to view the corresponding reports.

The Deploy Configuration on Web (R96701C) report summarizes the detailed status and updated objects in a PDF file.

The Report to Load Configuration Data (R98403WC) report provides a summarized report of load XML Data for web deployment.
