Deploying the Configuration File Using the Web Client

To deploy the imported configuration file using the web client:

  1. Access the Work With Software Updates application from the Software Updates menu (GH9612).
  2. On the Work With Software Updates form, enter 60 (Configurations) in the Software Update Type field and click Find.
  3. Select the configuration file from the grid.
  4. Select the Row menu and click Deploy.
  5. The Software Update Environment Selection form is displayed. Select the Backup check box if required. It is not selected by default.
  6. Select the checkbox corresponding to the environment(s) that you want to deploy the configuration package to.
  7. To verify the list of objects that will be applied, click the Row menu and select Affected Objects.
  8. Click Close to exit.
  9. Click OK on the Software Update Environment Selection form to launch the deployment.
  10. Click OK in Warning dialog box.
    Note: The warning message is displayed only when you schedule Load Configuration Data.
  11. The Software Updates Status on the Work With Software Updates form shows the progress. When the deployment is complete, the system displays 100% complete status in the Deployment Status pane.
  12. Click Find on the Work With Software Updates form to refresh the grid columns.
  13. Click Refresh in the Software Update Plan History pane.
  14. Click the View Output icon in the grid column to download the Web Deploy Summary report.
