Deploying Configurations Using Change Assistant on the Deployment Server

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Change Assistant supports the deployment of configuration packages and provides a Deployment Summary report after a successful deployment.
Note: Before you begin, verify that the AIS connection is disabled.
  1. Launch Change Assistant from your desktop.
  2. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
  3. In the AIS tab, ensure that Disable AIS Connection is selected.
To download and deploy the Configuration Packages from Change Assistant:
  1. In Change Assistant, open Search for Packages in the tree structure.
  2. In the Advanced Search tab, enter the search criteria and click Search.
    • To download Configurations, set the following criteria:
      1. In the Type field, select Configurations.
      2. In the Release field, select 9.2.
      3. In the Platform field, select All Platforms.
      4. In the Search by Names - Name field, enter DP*.
    • To download samples, set the following criteria:
      1. In the Type field, select EnterpriseOne Samples.
      2. In the Release field, select All.
      3. In the Platform field, select All Platforms.
  3. Select the data packs you want to deploy.
  4. Click the Download icon and then select Download To and Deploy option, and then select the required folder.
    Note: You can select the Download To option to download the packages to the selected directory. You can navigate to the Download directory under Work with Packages in the Change Assistant tree structure, and then deploy the downloaded packages.
  5. Enter the required credentials in the JDEPLAN environment window and click OK.
  6. Select the Environment in the Environment Selection window, and then click OK. You will see prompts warning of data replacement.
  7. Click Yes to Continue. Click No to stop the deployment.
  8. The Change Assistant Deployment Summary window displays the summary of the packages deployed.
  9. The Batch Summary report is displayed after the deployment is successful. Click the required package name to see the detailed report. The Package Summary report also has links to additional reports such as the Backup Status report.
